The university says Jackie Moore died Wednesday night at a hospital just outside Charleston.

School officials so far aren't saying how Moore died. They say they're working on plans for a memorial service.

EIU athletic director Barbara Burke says Moore was a great person with a bright future.

Moore was in her third season at the school. This was her first post-college job after graduating from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, in 2005.

Moore was from Windsor, Ontario, in Canada.
