ST. PAUL (AP) The drawn-out contest over who won Minnesota's Senate race is moving into the courtroom.
Republican Norm Coleman's lawsuit begins Monday afternoon with opening statements before a three-judge panel.
A statewide recount left Democrat Al Franken with a 225-vote lead. But Coleman says that's because of irregularities and inconsistencies in handling absentee ballots and other matters.
Coleman argues there are potentially thousands of rejected absentee ballots that should be counted.
