STANFORD, Calif. (AP) — Stanford guard Jeremy Green has been suspended indefinitely by coach Johnny Dawkins for a violation of team rules.

The school made the announcement late Wednesday, saying the suspension would begin immediately. This is another big blow for the rebuilding Cardinal, who lost top recruit Andy Brown to a season-ending knee injury on the second day of practice.

Green, a Pacific-10 Conference all-freshman team selection, appeared in all 34 games last season, averaging 6.4 points and 2.1 rebounds. He shot 45.6% from three-point range. Over the team's final 10 games, Green scored 7.4 points a game and shot 52.1% overall and 50% from three-point range.
