EUGENE, Ore. (AP) Pacific-10 Conference Commissioner Larry Scott says he will meet with suspended Oregon running back LeGarrette Blount (FSY) and school officials about a possible reinstatement of Blount.
Scott made the comments before No. 12 Oregon's game against No. 4 Southern California on Saturday.
Blount was suspended for the season after he punched a Boise State player in the aftermath of Oregon's 19-8 loss to the Broncos in the season opener.
Scott says he will meet with Blount, Oregon counsel, university President Richard Lariviere, athletics director Mike Bellotti and coach Chip Kelly and members of his staff.
Scott says the university has not made formal moves to reinstate Blount, and his role "completely depends on the university and whether they want the penalty revisited."
