Bus accident in China kills 13

BEIJING (AP) — China's state news agency says 13 people have been killed and 41 injured after a bus plunged into a valley along a mountainous road in northern Shanxi province.

The official Xinhua News Agency said Saturday that the bus fell into the valley in Yangquan city Friday afternoon and that ten passengers were killed on the spot. Xinhua says three others died on the way to hospital, and that doctors are treating 41 injured passengers.

The bus was en route from Hebei province to Shanxi's capital Taiyuan.

Xinhua says the cause of the accident is under investigation.
