• Late talk. The late-night premiere of TBS' George Lopez Show averaged 1.6 million viewers over four days last week, led by 2 million on Wednesday. Fox's debut of The Wanda Sykes Show in late-night Saturday claimed 2.8 million viewers on Nov. 7, a tad higher than Mad TV's average last fall.

• Crossing over. CBS' CSI franchise scored with a three-way crossover involving star Laurence Fishburne, whose original Vegas series notched a season-high 17.4 million viewers Thursday. Monday's CSI: Miami (a season-high 14.4 million) and Wednesday's NY spinoff (14.5 million) were above average.

• Vanquished. Week 2 of ABC's sci-fi yarn V took a tumble, averaging a still-healthy 10.7 million viewers but down from the big 14.3 million for the previous week's opener.

• Survivor climbs. CBS' Survivor: Samoa hit a season-high 12.9 million viewers Thursday, as Fox's Bones (10.2 million) topped ABC's FlashForward (a series-low 8.3 million) for the first time among young-adult viewers. CW's Melrose Place hit a series-low 1.3 million Tuesday.

• Prison break. Part 1 of AMC miniseries remake of The Prisoner caged 2.2 million viewers Sunday, nearly matching the haul for Mad Men's season finale the previous week. But this week, Monday's Part 2 plunged to 948,000.

• Cable season starts. TruTV's Operation Repo (2.2 million viewers Monday, a channel record for a series); SyFy's Ghost Hunters Academy (1.2 million Wednesday); and Nickelodeon's True Jackson, VP (3.8 million Saturday, down a million vs. last fall).
