Russian Space Agency recovery personnel are seen atop a Soyuz space capsule transporting European Space Agency astronaut Frank De Winne of Belgium, Russian cosmonaut Roman Romanenko and Canadian astronaut Robert Thirsk, shortly after landing near Arkalyk in northern Kazakhstan on Dec. 1, 2009. The astronauts were wrapping up a six-month stint on the International Space Station.
